The Provincial Price Bureau held a press conference Monday to release the recent prices of important commodities in the province and the survey report on consumer price expectations for the third quarter of this year.
Statistics show that the price of 27 kinds of vegetables monitored by the province dropped while 7 others shot up. Due to seasonal changes and market supply and demand, the prices of green soybean, loofah and eggplant decreased greatly, and the prices of spinach and garlic rose slightly.
Since the start of summer, the price of pork has continued to rise, and the price of fruit has been on the decline.
Summer is the prime season for the sales of cold drinks. Many supermarkets have launched promotional activities with some cold drinks being sold at a discount of 40%.
The survey report on consumer price expectations for the third quarter of 2018 shows that compared with the second quarter of this year and the same period of last year, the total consumer price of the province in the third quarter of this year is expected to be stable and slow.
In terms of the price of commercial houses, insiders believe that in recent years, the prices of commercial real estate in many provinces will show a trend of resurgence.
The Provincial Price Bureau reminded governments at all levels and relevant departments to pay close attention to the trend of the real estate market, implement relevant measures for the regulation of commercial housing so as to strictly control and curb speculation.
