The Nanjing Metro Line S7 was opened for trial operation on Saturday. The rapid rail transit line links up the downtown area of Nanjing with Lukou Airport and Lishui District.
It takes no more than 30 minutes for the S7 line train to run from the Lukou Airport Station in the north to the Wuxiangshan Station in the south, passing through a total of 9 stations.
In order to facilitate Lishui residents to travel to and from the main downtown of Nanjing, a train ride is arranged to run through the S7 and S1 lines during the morning and evening peak hours so that the passengers can reach Nanjing South Railway Station without having to make transfer at Jiangning station. The ride takes one hour and ten minutes.
The opening of the S7 line is the 10th metro line in Nanjing. The train fare will remain the same as that of the previous lines.
