East China’s Jiangsu province has made unremitting efforts to explore new ways of transportation construction for the smooth progress of the rural revitalization strategy.
Sheng Sili, a grain farmer in Guangling district, Yangzhou city, has been vexed by the inadequate compensation for the loss incurred from the requisition of his crop fields for the construction of a major railway-highway bridge across the Yangtze River.
The construction authority entrusted a third-party assessment company to re-evaluate Sheng’s loss from rice cultivation and hairy crab breeding. The conflict was resolved to enable the progress of the bridge construction.
The steel-composite composite bridge erected at the Wuxi-Nantong Wiring Project of the Hutong Yangtze River Bridge was used for the first time on the expressway in the province. The prefabricated cover beams not only improved the project quality, but also saved one-third of the construction time. However, it is a totally new challenge for the construction team. In the face of difficulties, the CPC members played the vanguard role with a CPC member sent to each construction squad while a technical research group was set up to tackle the difficulties.
Through the concerted efforts of the CPC branches of the construction teams and the local CPC committees, the road and highway construction projects in the province have made continuous progress. Construction on 9 highway construction projects went on smoothly, as is evidenced the fulfillment of 4.7 billion yuan of investment.
