The Jiangsu delegation to the 1st session of the 13th National People's Congress held a group meeting to review revised version of the draft constitutional amendment as well as the development plan report and the budget report.
The revised version of the draft constitutional amendment was decided at the presidium of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress on Thursday.
The presidium was briefed on the deliberation of the bill among all NPC delegations and a revised version of the bill drafted by the executive chairpersons based on opinions of delegations, said a statement issued after the meeting.
It decided to send the report about the deliberation and the revised version to all delegations for another round of review.
During the deliberation, the deputies expressed their firm support for the decision-making and deployment of the CPC Central Committee on the amendment to the Constitution, arguing that the constitutional amendment is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee from the perspective of adhering to and developing the overall and strategic level of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and it is also a major measure to comprehensively promote the rule of law and modernize the national governance system and governance capabilities.
The work on the constitutional amendment adheres to the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the political development path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics by promoting democracy through brainstorms and implementing the procedures in accordance with the law. It is also the vivid practice of governing the country and governing the country according to the Constitution by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.
The delegates unanimously stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the five-point scientific thesis for rural rejuvenation in his speech, which is a clear indication of the implementation of the strategic goals and paths of the country's rejuvenation, and will greatly promote rural revitalization.
