On Feb. 11, EIA of Nanjing-Yangzhou City District Rapid Rail Transit Project was first published on Jiangsu Environmental Public Network.
The announcement shows that the Nanjing-Yangzhou City Area Rapid Rail Transit Project (hereinafter referred to as Ningyang City Express Rail) starts from Nanjing Xianlin Vice City via Tianlu Station, Longtan New City, Yizheng City, Yangzhou Automobile Industrial Park, stops at Yangzhou West Station.
Ningyang City Express Rail Line is about 54 kilometers long, 16 stations on the whole line, which will link up Nanjing and Yangzhou City Rail Transit Network. The announcement shows that the starting point of the express rail line in Ningyang area passes through Tian Lu Station and transfers to the existing Nanjing Metro Line 2, Xianlin Lake Station and the existing Nanjing Metro Line 4; while the terminal Yangzhou West Station transfers to the planned Yangzhou Metro Line 1.
Reporter noted that the planned Yangzhou subway line 1 is east-west direction, from Yangzhou West Station to Jiangdu Railway Station.
That is to say, people could travel from Nanjing to Jiangdu district in the eastern suburbs of Yangzhou by subway. Jiangdu railway station is only 10 kilometers away from Yangzhou-Taizhou International Airport, and only 20 kilometers away from Taizhou City.
The modernization of railway network is one of the characteristics of the enlargement of the metropolitan area. In addition to Yangzhou, Nanjing Metro will also lead to Zhenjiang, as well as Chuzhou and Ma'anshan in Anhui Province.
In Shanghai metropolitan area, the Shanghai subway has entered Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. With the further planning and construction of Suzhou railway transit, Shanghai and Suzhou will be seamlessly connected, sharing direct travel. In the future, you may take the subway from Shanghai all the way to Taihu Lake.
