Dabao'en Temple Ruins Museum is ablaze with lights.

The night tour mode was opened at the museum yesterday. As the main venue of the 32nd Qinhuai Lantern Festival, visitors can not only enjoy the different shapes of large lanterns, but also understand the glass arch of the temple in “National Treasure”, about its past and present, and participate in various activities of the year.

During the Spring Festival, the museum will open the Lunar New Year lantern festival featuring " Thanksgiving and Praying ". The theme of the heart, supplemented by the traditional Chinese culture, is beautiful. The " Tree of Life " lamp group which is the core of the show, is inspired by the grain trees brought back by Zheng He from his voyages. Flanked by cranes, lotus flowers and auspicious clouds, this group of lanterns symbolize the light of gratitude. Having a variety of 200 kinds of light modelling, Bao'en Pagoda will exhibit a light show during the festival, entertaining visitors during the holiday.

Dabao'en Temple Ruins Museum will not only be surrounded by beautiful lights, but also decorated with blessing ribbons, witnessing the activities of copying the Sutra, Wishing Lotus Lamp and so on from Feb 12 to Mar 5, 2018 (New Year's Eve closed). In addition, cultural celebrities and cultural inheritors are invited to teach traditional cultural etiquette and other interactive activities. On the early morning of Feb. 19, numerous traditional folk customs like “Ringing the Bells and Welcoming the God of Wealth” will bring more fun and experience to the tourists.
