More wildlife has been sighted in Suzhou city, according to the result of a recent wildlife survey. An increasingly large number of swans have flown to Suzhou to overspend the winter, according to the survey. The number has grown from dozens of in the initial period to more than one hundred at present. The forestry department in Suzhou said wildlife generally likes to inhabit in off- water areas with high forest cover. The survey of the previous wildlife resources was done a decade ago. The recent survey shows improving ecology in Suzhou with more types and quantities of wildlife found in the urban areas, the Qionglong Hill, Yangcheng Lake, Taihu Lake area, Tiger Hill, Suzhou Park and many other places.
