East China’s Jiangsu province will implement the national requirements for college entrance examination reform by developing and introducing a new round of college entrance examination reform by the end of June this year to get prepared for the province’s college entrance examination, according to the province's education work conference held Monday in Nanjing. The province will report its program to the Ministry of Education to be placed on file before releasing it to the public. The new program will come into effect in the national college entrance exam in 2021. Meanwhile, Jiangsu will make breakthroughs in school hours, co-ordination exercises and extra-curricular assignments so as to effectively reduce the burden on primary and secondary schools. Large classes will also be dealt with this year.
