Governor Wu Zhenglong recently visited Army Engineering University to extend holiday greetings to the officers and soldiers on behalf of the provincial party committee and the provincial government.
Wu Zhenglong said to officers and soldiers that in the past year the achievements made in the development of various undertakings in Jiangsu were the result of the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core and the result of hard work done by the people and the military in the province.
He extended his gratitude to the cadets and officers for their participation in shoveling snow and ice in the recent blizzard that swept the province, adding that the Army Engineering University played an important role in ensuring the normal life of the people during the extreme weather conditions.
The governor said the work report of the provincial government put forward the goals, main tasks and measures for the next five years with ambitious determination to turn the grand blueprint of building a new Jiangsu into reality.
The governor hoped that the Army Engineering University will continue to support the development of Jiangsu and actively participate in local economic and social construction by working together hand in hand to push forward the in-depth development of military and civilian integration and jointly write a new chapter for the new era.
Wang Jinlong, commandant of the Army Engineering University and Zhang Bibo, the university’s political commissar, expressed their congratulations on the achievements of Jiangsu's economic and social development, adding that they will continue to support the work of Jiangsu and make greater contributions to the development of Jiangsu.
