Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met Thursday in Nanjing with Chang Won Kie, former President for Greater China Region of Samsung Group and Huang Dejia, incumbent President for Greater China Region of Samsung Group.
Lou said Jiangsu enjoys a solid foundation in manufacturing industry due to its good economic development environment, strong supporting capabilities and higher level of openness to the outside world.
He said Jiangsu is located in the eastern region which the country will give full play to high quality development and thereby enjoys good foundations and broad prospects in terms of building the advanced manufacturing demonstration zone and developing the electronic information industry.
Lou also noted that Jiangsu has enjoyed a long-term cooperation with Samsung over a wide range of fields and the mutual friendship and trust enhanced in the course of the cooperation will give a boost to the settlement of more investment projects in the province by Samsung.
He hoped that Samsung will seize the opportunities of the growth momentum of the national innovation demonstration zone in southern Jiangsu and other economic development campaigns for greater cooperation in more fields to seek high quality development, mutual benefit and win-win achievements.
Chang Won Kie and Huang Dejia expressed their gratitude to Lou for the long-term support given to Samsung by Jiangsu before giving a brief introduction to the operation of Samsung’s investment in Jiangsu.
They said that Jiangsu has a good economic base, excellent market environment and broad development space, adding that on the basis of good cooperation with Jiangsu, Samsung will seize a series of important development opportunities to expand its cooperation with Jiangsu for the promotion of high quality development.
