The Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee held a meeting Saturday to study the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference, listen to the report on the completion of the main goals of economic and social development this year and analyze the current economic situation and discuss the economic work for next year. The meeting was presided over by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
It was decided at the meeting that the third plenary meeting of the 13th session of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee will be held on December 25 and 26.
The plenary meeting will be focused on the study and implementation of the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress and the Central Economic Work Conference and the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his recent inspection tour in Jiangsu, according to a statement released after the meeting.
The plenary meeting is also expected to address the fulfillment of the measures for the completion of the decisions and deployments made by the 13th session of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, sum up the achievements of social and economic development and party building this year and discuss the work deployment for next year, the statement said.
The economic operation of the whole province has maintained a good momentum with an overall stability, as is evidenced by the main economic indicators that are in the expected range, and the completion of the major targets set at the beginning of the year, according to the statement.
The planning and deployment of the next year’s economic work and major economic goals is of great significance as the year 2018 is the first year after the 19th CPC National Congress and a key year for the establishment of a well-off society and a connecting link for the completion of the 13th five year plan, the statement said.
