The Wushao Boat made by craftsmen in Taizhou city, Jiangsu province, was thrust to the spotlight at the World Internet Conference as it was presented to the participants as an art work.
The boat is 25 centimeters long, 5.5 centimeters wide and 6 centimeters high. Divided into three parts, the boat is rowed with a scull fitted at the back. Similar to the miniature of the Wupeng Boat or boat with a dark awning, the Wushao Boat represent cultural charms unique to the southern areas of the Yangtze River.
The Wushao Boat is made in Zhuhon town of Xinghua city, best known for its wooden boat craftsmanship. The local authority is turning to the World Internet Conference to promote its wooden boat craftsmanship as an intangible cultural heritage.
The fourth World Internet Conference concluded Tuesday in the East China town of Wuzhen after three days of discussions and exhibitions of cutting-edge internet products.
During the conference, government representatives, heads of international organizations, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs attended 20 forums, displaying their achievements in innovation and discussing means of cooperation.
