The new and hi-tech zone in Suzhou has teamed up with Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, short for Beihang, to launch Beihang Innovation Institute and Beidou Silk Road College in Suzhou. The signing ceremony was held Wednesday in Suzhou.
Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu provincial committee, met with Xu Huibing, president of Beihang University before the signing ceremony.
Lou hoped both sides would give full play to the mutual advantages for the promotion of the industry-research collaboration.
Xu Huibing pledged that On the basis of good cooperation in the past, Beihang University will further exert its advantages, strengthen the cooperation between research and production and cultivate talents, and help Jiangsu achieve higher quality and higher level development.
According to the agreement, the cooperation between Suzhou and Beihang will focus on the construction of the Suzhou Innovation Institute, Beidou Silk Road College, Beidou Silk Road specialty town and Beihang University Suzhou Taihu Campus.
