The 2017 China Lianyungang International Pharmaceutical Technology Conference opened Thursday morning in Lianyungang city, Jiangsu province. 119 experts from 20 countries and regions attended the conference which is themed on the technological innovation for the cohesion-powered development of the healthcare industry. Jiangsu Original Chemical Medicine Innovation Center was inaugurated during the conference. 19 contracts will be signed to bring 10.8 billion yuan of investment. The pharmaceutical industry in Jiangsu has accounted for more than one-tenth of the national total with a number of indicators ranking foremost in the country. Lianyungang is one of the six major bio-pharmaceutical industry bases in Jiangsu. The city is the home for 4 of the 20 enterprises rated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2017 as the best industrial enterprises in terms of the China Pharmaceutical Research and Development product line. The city’s bio-pharmaceutical industry is expecting future development with boundless vitality and broad prospects.
