Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met on Wednesday with Xi Guohua, honorary president of the Chinese Association of Communication Enterprises. Mr. Xi was heading an inspection team to visit Jiangsu for the promotion of further cooperation on the Internet of Things and the IT sector.
Lou extended his warm welcome to Mr. Xi for the inspection team’s visit to Jiangsu, adding that as a manufacturing powerhouse, Jiangsu enjoys a good foundation in IoT and attaches great importance to the development of IoT as the province is looking into IoT to fuel the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
With the development of computer and Internet from pilot technology to universal technology, the development of IoT is faced with good opportunities, Lou said.
He hoped that the Chinese Association of Communication Enterprises will give full play to the role of organization and coordination to focus on solving the bottlenecks in the development of IoT for greater achievements.
Xi said that there are many successful practices in the development and application of the Internet in Jiangsu, and the Chinese Association of Communication Enterprises will summarize Jiangsu’s experiences which will provide decision-making reference for the competent departments of the country.
When meeting with Xiong Qunli, chairman of China Electronic Corporation, Lou Qinjian remarked that Jiangsu attaches great importance to the development of electronic information industry which is viewed as the key to promoting economic transformation and upgrading.
Lou spoke highly of the efforts made by China Electronic Corporation in its commitment to creating a world-class innovative leader and making breakthroughs in recent years through the promotion of reform in many key areas.
He hoped that China Electronic Corporation will give full play to the core competitive advantage of original scientific research, promote the cooperation between the relevant institutes and Jiangsu, and build a national science and technology Center together to achieve higher quality and higher level development.
Xiong Qunli said that Jiangsu is the key area for the distribution of the industrial layout by China Electronic Corporation, adding that China Electronic Corporation will stimulate vitality through deepening the reform of the system mechanism and promote strategic cooperation with Jiangsu for the realization of mutual development through the assistance for the economic transformation and upgrading of Jiangsu.
