CPC Jiangsu provincial chief inspects military command, non-communist parties

  Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, went on an inspection tour Wednesday to the provincial military command, the provincial committees of non-communist parties and the provincial department of the united work front.

  Lou called on the competent departments to place emphasis on the strategic heights of the overall development of the party and the national cause by carrying forward the in-depth study and comprehensive implementation of the new deployment and requirements set forth by the 19th CPC National Congress under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era and giving full play to all aspects of wisdom and strength for the sustainable development of the provinces reform and opening-up.

  During his visit to the provincial military command, the provincial CPC chief spoke highly of the achievements the military has made in the past years through the promotion of reform, pointing out that under the new situation the key is to arm the troops with Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era.

  Lou noted that it is of great importance to enhance the awareness of the implementation of civil-military integration strategy and closely combine the actual situation of the military and the local regions to systematically strengthen research and planning for further development of the civil-military integration in all aspects.

  When visiting the provincial offices of the non-communist parties, Lou Qinjian called for increased cooperation between the CPC and the country's non-Communist political parties to jointly strive for achieving the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

  He said it has been a long-held practice for the CPC Provincial Committee to solicit opinions from the provincial committees of non-Communist parties on major policies and decisions of the CPC Provincial Committee and the provincial government.

  To adhere to and improve socialism with Chinese characteristics, a crucial task lies in adhering to and improving multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC, as well as developing socialist consultative democracy to better play the part of China's non-Communist political parties and those without party affiliation, according to Lou.

  He hoped that the provincial committees of non-Communist parties can uphold the political consensus on supporting the leadership of the CPC, and maintaining the socialist path with Chinese characteristics.
