After the full tunnel holing through of Ningli Intercity Metro Line, the name of every station along this metro line is finally confirmed. According to the report from the Department of City Transportation, the names of the nine stations are Jiangning Station (the former Lukouxincheng Station), Zhetang Station, Lishui Station, Qunli Station, Wolonghu Station, Lishui Station, Zhongshanhu Station, Xingzhuang Station, and Wuxiangshan Station.
Ningli Intercity Metro Line, Ninghe Intercity Metro Line and Ninggao Intercity Metro Line are all continued projects of 2017 Nanjing metro construction. Ninghe Intercity Metro Line had a test run this august and it’s probably going into formal and official operation by the end of this month, which is a second completed metro within this year besides metro line 4. Ninggao Intercity Metro Line is still having tests and is expected to finish the whole testing procedures in the following 3 months. Scheduled to have a pilot run next March, Ninggao Intercity Metro Line will be fully introduced next June.
Having a total length of 30.16 kilometers, Ningli Intercity Metro Line is the artery connecting Nanjing downtown area with Lukou International Airport and Lishui District, meanwhile connecting Lishui District with the urban area. A B-type metro, Ningli Intercity Metro cars wear the color of pink and every 4 passenger cars make up one metro train. Manufactured with aluminum alloy, Ningli Intercity Metro Line enjoys the highest speed of 100 km/h and 11 trains of 44 cars. Presently, all the trains on Ningli Intercity Metro Line is under commissioning and testing.
Connecting with Airport Line which is leading to Metro Line 6, the 30 km-long Ningli Intercity Metro Line might be the longest line running across Nanjing.
