Chinese-American collector of cultural relics Chen Canpei donated precious artifacts of "Flying Tigers" of World War II to Nanjing on Sept 20. Many of the historical materials are being exhibited for the first time in China.
These artifacts include takeoff and landing instrument of World War II fighter jets, English version map of the Pacific region and videos and images of the Nanjing Massacre. Chen said he wanted the future generations to see this history in order to better face the future.
Chen has donated over 6,000 pieces of relics to museums of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Guangdong, Hunan, Chongqing and other places.
