East China's Jiangsu Province observed the National Dental Care Day which falls on september 20 each year.

September 20th marks the National Dental Care Day in China. The day, first launched in 1989, serves as a way to spread awareness to citizens to pay more attention to and to learn more myself about dental hygiene.

Dentistry in China is still developing. To be a dentist, teaching your clients to prevent cavities is more important than treating cavities.

Now, more Chinese dentists can do fillings very well, but they need to remember to teach clients that taking care of their teeth is very important.

Sometimes speaking with clients face to face is very important, but use the modern way.

At present, almost half of the population is suffering from dental cavities. The figure is even higher among children.

80 percent of urban children and 60 percent of rural children have dental cavities.

Only very famous kindergartens teach their students dental hygiene skills such as using fluoride and how to brush your teeth. About 90% of schools do not have these kinds of lessons.

Results from a survey released last year show that 66 percent of Chinese children under five have dental cavities, and 97.1 percent of children suffering from cavities do not get them fixed.

Now, Chinese people are already paying attention to their teeth, but ordinary people have different kinds of economic situations, so perhaps some are more likely to only focus on emergency dental treatment. When people become richer, dentists believes they will visit the dentist more often.
