Li Qiang, secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, urged to promote the construction of an innovative province during his inspection tours Wednesday in the Provincial Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Provincial Technology Equity Market.
Li Qiang stressed the importance of promoting the construction of an innovative province through the synergy force of space layout, platform support and business entity.
He urged all kinds of innovation platforms to strive for cohesion-driven innovation and service-oriented transformation, boost market operation, enhance vitality, deepen reform and strengthen integration for the promotion of brand name effects by giving full play to the factor resources and boosting commercialization of research findings to provide strong support for the construction of an innovative province.
In his first leg of the tour, the CPC provincial chief visited the Provincial Institute of Advanced Laser Technology, which focuses on the research and development of the key technologies and generic technologies in the manufacturing of high-end laser equipment and laser display.
Li was briefed on the R&D of industrial technologies, technological transfer and commercialization, technological services and incubation of SMEs,
He also made inquiries into the institute’s exploration in the institutional mechanism reform and inspected public service platforms and the enterprises grown out of the institute’s incubation.
Li Qiang spoke highly of the institute’s exploration for the integration of the R&D technologies and industrial incubation, encouraging the institute to learn from past experiences and give full play to its advantages of the institutional mechanism for the materialization of more achievements through the collaborative force of the competitive technologies and industries.
Li Qiang went on to visit the provincial technology equity market where he was briefed on the current status of the province’s technological trading and the floating of techno-intensive enterprises on the stock market. The technology equity market has recorded 369000 page views in total with the accumulation of 1.87 million pieces of data.
The CPC provincial chief encouraged everyone to continue to be bold and innovative for the exploration of a genuine development path combing the supply of scientific research and market demand to create a more accurate and efficient platform and turn the province’s advantageous resources of science, technology and education into a powerful growth momentum.
During his inspection tour, Li Qiang also presided over a symposium to solicit opinions from the leading officials of the provincial technology research institute and the provincial technology equity market on the enhancement of innovative platforms.
Li Qiang stressed that innovation is the most fundamental impetus to the transformation and development of Jiangsu province, adding that all kinds of innovative platforms should strive for cohesion-driven innovation and service-oriented transformation so as to bring into full play the clustering effects of the innovative elements and boost the commercialization of research breakthroughs through the incubation of more innovative enterprise in Jiangsu.
