Li Qiang, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met on Tuesday in Nanjing with Stanley LohKa Leung, Singapore’s Ambassador to China.
Li Qiang said Jiangsu is China's first province that carried out friendly cooperation with Singapore and the Suzhou Industrial Park has achieved positive results as a successful example of the Sino-Singaporean cooperation and a successful model of China's international cooperation.
Li noted that Jiangsu is willing to open its door wider for the promotion of the province’s transformation and upgrading.
Singapore has obvious advantages in finance, service, information and talent, and we are willing to work with Singapore to face the future and make joint efforts to earnestly implement the consensus of the two leaders, Li Qiang said.
The CPC provincial chief hoped that both sides would promote cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win situation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative by bringing into full play the role of cooperation mechanism, deepening cooperation in the fields of finance, economy and trade, service industry, strengthening the people-to-people exchanges and promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation for new achievements.
Mr. Stanley Loh said that the friendly cooperation between Jiangsu and Singapore has been at the forefront of Sino-Singaporean cooperation.
Loh said Singapore is willing to promote the successful experience of Suzhou Industrial Park under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative through the mutual cooperation in the areas of finance, service industry, training and the launch of new cooperation carriers for the promotion of friendly and cooperative relations.
