Changzhou girl wins two medals at AIDA Freediving World Championship

  The 2017 AIDA Freediving World Championship was held from August 22 to September 3 at the Rotan Island in Honduras.

  The tournament was the highest level of international single freediving events, and brought together the world's top freediving players to participate.

  Lu Wenjie, born in Changzhou, competed on behalf of the Chinese competition team.

  She won a silver medal on the women's climbing rope (FIM) and a bronze medal on the constant weight without web diving (CNF), which was a first for Chinese athletes participating in the AIDA Freediving World Championship.

  Lu also received a score of 86 meters in FIM, which was also the 27th time she created the Chinese national record on women's individual event of freediving.
