Veteran, 96, read letters home during the War against Japanese Aggression

  A 96-year-old veteran, Zhang Xiuqi, read his letters from home during the war against The Japanese Aggression to honor and mark the 72th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War against Japanese Aggression.

  The fourth reading activity of the “Letters Home: Our Fathers' Memories during the War against Japanese Aggression” was held at Nanjing Civil Museum on the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression on Sept 3, where Zhang was joined by two other veterans, Feng Zonqyao and He Jing, to stand and read aloud.

  The trio spoke in front of other veterans, curators and students to pay tribute to the day.
