Li Qiang, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met on Thursday in Nanjing with Mr. Randy MacEwen, CEO and President of Canada’s Ballard Power Systems Incorporated.
Li Qiang extended his warm welcome to Mr. MacEwen for his visit to Jiangsu, adding that the province has attached great importance to the development clean energies and related industries in the course of its transformation and upgrading.
Li said Jiangsu is one of the China’s powerhouses in the development of the hydrogen energy, which promises huge growth potentials, and Rugao County has witnessed the clustering of hydrogen industry to gain the upper hand in the market competition.
The provincial CPC chief hoped that Ballard will increase its investment in Jiangsu on the past foundations to introduce more new projects and new technologies into Jiangsu to forge partnership with its counterparts in Jiangsu for the widespread application of hydrogen as an optional energy.
Mr. MacEwen said Ballard will seize the opportunities to increase its investment in Jiangsu for greater cooperative potentials to achieve win-win result and mutual development.
