The city of Nantong kicked off its elite entrepreneurship week Thursday to usher in 8 serial activities that include talent introduction, matchmaking for large research institutes and academies, consultative sessions for academicians and dialogue with foreign experts.
More than 20 academicians with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the elite entrepreneurship week in addition to more than 200 university leaders and experts funded by the country’s One-Thousand-Talent scheme.
The highlight is the central innovation zone that is to be developed into a technological innovation special zone to be supported by R&D centers, convention centers and central forest parks.
The Double-Hundred Talent Recruitment Program was launched during the entrepreneurship week to offer 1 million square meters of apartments for talents to dwell in and 10 billion yuan of fund to back up the startup and entrepreneurship programs.
Contracts were signed on the day of the launch for the settlement of national innovation base of green building technology assembly, the state-level big data industrial innovation base and the national sponge city intelligent pipe network technology innovation platform in addition to 8 other state-level projects in the central innovation zone.
