Vice Governor Chen Zhenning met Thursday in Nanjing with Mr. Sean Stein, the Consul General at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai. The vice governor said that as one of the economic powerhouses in China, Jiangsu has enjoyed fruitful exchange and cooperation with the United States in many areas. He hoped that with the firm support from the US consulate general in Shanghai, both sides would continue to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and investment, low carbon and environmental protection, high-tech, education, culture, healthcare, tourism and other areas. Mr Stein said that as the new Consul General in Shanghai, he will follow the footsteps of his predecessors to promote the exchange and cooperation between the regional states and large enterprises of the United States and Jiangsu for the expansion of communication channels and cooperation effectiveness.
