Li Qiang, the secretary of Jiangsu provincial committee of the CPC, attended an event in Wuxi on Aug. 16, during which he stressed that it is necessary to stand on good manufacturing industry foundation, take intelligent manufacturing and the new generation of information technology industry as main drivers, seize and utilize the opportunities offered by internet of things and quicken the transformation and upgrading of the sector.
Li Qiang added that it is also necessary to enhance long-term and regular communication and contacts with key enterprises, institutions and personnels in the industry of internet of things, strengthen tracking and cooperation and implement specific cooperation projects.
The Second World Internet of Things Exposition, which will be held in Wuxi on September 10-13, will see top experts discuss artificial intelligence, narrowband internet of things, smart sports and other emerging issues.
China International Internet of Things (sensor network) Expo has been held once a year since 2010, building a communication platform for people at home and abroad. At present, Jiangsu's industry of the internet of things is showing a positive development momentum. Province-wide industrial distribution of internet of things has been formed, with Wuxi taken as the core city and Suzhou and Nanjing as the supporting cities; besides, many key technologies have made breakthrough and achieved industrialization.
