The demand for clinical use of blood in Suzhou has increased 10% over the past two years compared with the same period of last year. The city is now facing an acute shortage of blood type A and type O.
Huai’an city is also suffering a blood shortage, especially type A and type O.
The city’s blood center has extended the service hours for blood donation to encourage people to roll up their sleeves and donate blood.
Voluntary donors have been recruited to donate 3000000 milliliters of blood in total.
