
The first membership representative meeting of the Jiangsu Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Society was held in Nanjing on July 31, marking the official founding of the society initiated by academicians in Jiangsu.
The society was launched by a group of technological elites including academicians such as Chen Jun, Huang Wei and Miao Changwen of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as renowned universities like Nanjing University, whose President, Chen Jun was elected the first honorary president.
The society aims to build the Jiangsu Entrepreneurship and Innovation Public Service Platform, establish large database of entrepreneurship and innovation, and set up a professional incubation space and practical training bases. As for talents, the group will connect with universities and innovation parks to organize professional service teams in a bid to conduct planning, design, construction and management to shape featured industry parks.
On July 31, the society also signed cooperative agreements with the Shenzhen Research Institute of Renmin University of China; the Berlin Asia-Pacific Industry Incubation Park; the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute; the GA Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance (US); and the EBN Representative Office in China. It also involved the Deutsch-Chinesischen Allianz für Industrie 4.0 and the Administrative Committee of Jiangbei New Area, Nanjing, to reach intent on cooperation in the aspects of talent, industry and scientific innovation.
