The Suzhou (Changshu)-Central Asia Railway Express for Market purchase was put into service at the Suzhou West Railway Station on July 28, marking the opening of a new international trade channel from Changshu to Central Asian countries and regions.
This is the first international train in Changshu. Listed on the "Suzhou-Manzhouli-Europe" international freight train platform, the train starts from the Suzhou West Railway Station, exits at the Helgas port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, goes through Alma-Ata and arrives at the Aktau Port in Kazakhstan after an 11 day trip. The cargo on the train is then shipped from the Aktau Port to Turkmenistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia and northwest of Russia.
The new train greatly shortens the export turnaround, only taking around 15 days for cargo to arrive in the farthest countries and regions of the route.
The train will gradually become a regular marketing purchasing international freight train after two trial runs in July and August.
