
Gusu District of Suzhou approved the addition of nine 24-hour drug vending machines recently to solve drug purchase problems for nearby residents at night.

According to reports, the government of Gusu District picked the new locations out of the area of 140 chain pharmacies. By considering the daily operation of pharmacies, daily regulatory records and other criteria, the government of Gusu District chose 30 pharmacies as potential sites, finally recommending nine pharmacies to operate drug vending machines.

For these new drug vending machines, the Market Supervision Administration of Gusu District will do random checks from the source and distribution of drugs. The relevant department will also expand the range and add more drug vending machines, so citizens could receive more convenient drug purchasing services.
