A total of 60 photographs showcasing the life of people in Germany and Taicang in Jiangsu was unveiled at the Juelich Municipal Museum on July 30.

The exhibit, based in Juelich, a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, attracted a range of visitors to the museum.

Taicang, a demonstration city of Sino-German friendly cooperation, began ties with Germany in 1993, soon after Kern-Liebers, a German company, first settled in the area. Taicang is now home to more than 260 Germany-funded companies.

The Taicang government invited photographer Zhao Hui at the beginning of the year to photograph Germany and Taicang. The series took more than half a year to complete and showcases the life of people from both areas and living in the corresponding city. The series was designed to make an artful comparison between the life of German residents and the people of Taicang, while unfolding real pictures of Sino-German cooperation.

Taicang forged a formal friendly-cities tie with the Juelich city at the 10th Germany Taicang Day activity held on May 11 in Dusseldorf, making the latter the first German friendly city of Taicang.
