The 2nd High-Level Forum on the Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta was held last Friday in Huzhou city, Zhejiang province. The Online Exhibition of the Innovation Achievements in the Yangtze River Delta took place concurrently.
Top leaders from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui attended the forum.
Leaders of the National Development and Reform Commission also attended the forum.
Che Jun, secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, said that since the plan was upgraded into a national development strategy the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta has gathered strong momentum throughout the region from the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, the coordination of the leading group of the central government and the widespread participation in the region with Shanghai as the mainstay and Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui as the driving force.
Facing the new requirements, new missions, new opportunities and challenges for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta under the new situation, Zhejiang will strive to make new contributions to the high-quality development of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, he said.
Ma Jiantang, Party Secretary of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Zhou Qiren, professor at Peking University, and Zhang Yong, chairman and CEO of Alibaba Group, gave speeches on building a domestic and international double cycle, responding to unprecedented challenges, and building the digital Yangtze River Delta.
Li Qiang, Lou Qinjian, Che Jun and Li Jinbin, CPC secretaries of the four provincial regions, unveiled the Online Exhibition of the Innovation Achievements in the Yangtze River Delta.
The exhibition displayed 585 major scientific and technological achievements in the Yangtze River Delta region. Digital economy, life and health, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing accounted for more than 90% of the exhibits.
