More than 1,300 nanotech companies at home and abroad have exhibited more than 1,800 nanotechnology innovation products at the ninth China International Nanotechnology Industry Expo that opened in Suzhou Industrial Park on Wednesday. The event has become the world's second largest nanotech exhibition after the global expo in Japan.
Innovative products at the forefront of nanotechnology are showcased at the 3-day expo. The naked-eye 3D display jointly exhibited by the Zhongwei Institute of Flexible Optoelectronics Intelligent Manufacturing and SVG Tech Group combines the structural characteristics of nanomaterials to break through the existing 3D principle of binocular parallax, making viewing more comfortable and making the use of 3D glasses totally unnecessary. When industrialized, the innovative product will be widely used in defense, industrial display, biomedicine and other fields.
The application of nanotechnology has gradually entered the daily life of ordinary people. The anti-fog screen windows developed by a Suzhou-based company in March this year relied on nano-fibers one thousandth thinner than the hair, enabling the interception of ultra-fine particles such as smog and dust by 90% and filling the domestic gap.
The China Nanotech Expo has been held for eight consecutive years since its inauguration in 2010. Suzhou Industrial Park has now become one of the eight nanotech industrial clusters in the world. The nanotech industry in the industrial park is expected to generate 65 billion yuan of output value by the end of this year.
