The newly-built second phase of Suzhou New District People's Hospital opened yesterday to offer better and more efficient medical services to 300,000 locals.
At the opening ceremony, the hospital signed an agreement with Xin Hua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine to jointly build a medical cooperation alliance, which marks a big progress of the district’s medical and health services.
Located at the intersection of Changjiang Road and Huashan Road, the second phase of Suzhou New District People's Hospital covers a floor area of 95,000 square meters and costs more than 1 billion yuan (US$158.2 million) to build. The hospital sets to build itself into a top-class comprehensive hospital in three years.
