Governor Wu meets with Japan External Trade Organization chairman

  Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, met Tuesday in Nanjing with Hiroyuki Ishige, chairman of Japan External Trade Organization.

  Wu said mutually beneficial cooperation is the impetus to the development of Sino-Japanese relations.

  The governor briefed the Japanese guests on the efforts Jiangsu is making to study and implement the spirits and deployments of the 19th CPC National Congress and the Central Economic Work Conference, adding that the province is carrying out the new concept of development, push the industry toward the high end of the value chain, and strive to realize the high quality development of the economy.

  He hoped that Jiangsu will join hands with Japan External Trade Organization to continuously improve the cooperation mechanism, and effectively strengthen the cooperation in intelligent manufacturing, new energy, environmental protection and other related fields for both sides to build a better platform for SME exchanges and work together to develop a third-party market.

  The governor also pledged that Jiangsu will continue to optimize the business environment, promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two sides to a new height.

  Hiroyuki Ishige noted that Jiangsu is the primary destination of investment for Japanese-funded enterprises in China, adding that Japan External Trade Organization will provide efficient and convenient services for Japanese-funded enterprises to invest in China and launch business endeavors in Jiangsu for the deepening of the cooperation and exchanges in technological innovation, market development and other aspects.
