The 2017 Changzhou International Folk Art Week kicked off on Oct 14 at the Golden Hall of Changzhou Modern Media Center.
At the opening ceremony, more than 130 foreign folk artists joined hands with artists from Changzhou Song and Dance Theater, Changzhou Art Higher Vocational School, and Changzhou Cultural Center to stage a performance with both Chinese and Western characteristics, including the Russian folk dance Light of Russia, the Sri Lankan folk dance Church Dance, Polish folk dance Krakowiak, Zambian folk dance Milella and Changzhou local performances Music and Danceat Dunhuang and New Cirenlasuo. The performance teams from 11 countries, apart from scheduled performances, will also go on a tour to Jintan, Xinbei, Zhonglou and other districts and schools.
