Think tank experts, industry elites and innovative entrepreneurs from various fields in the Yangtze River Delta participated in the 2024 Taihu Lake Bay Science and Technology Innovation Belt Binhu Innovation Conference held in Binhu District, Wuxi on Monday.
This year's innovation conference aims to attract more high-quality investment projects to settle in Binhu District and accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading.
Binhu District has released the "Overall Development Plan for High Quality Industrial Carriers", with a focus on planning 6 core tracks, 60 characteristic industrial parks, and the construction and operation mode of 6S standard carriers.
According to the innovative development plan for the synthetic biology industry released at the meeting, Binhu District will build a technology innovation cluster with national influence in the synthetic biology industry. By 2026, it will produce an annual output of 5 billion yuan, attract more than 30 core backbone enterprises in synthetic biology, add more than 5 top scientists and teams with industry influence, and establish more than 5 research and development or regional headquarters for synthetic biology enterprises.
Binhu District has launched a youth talent introduction policy by providing top young talents with up to 50 million yuan in fund investment, 10 million yuan in funding support, and customized development carriers for all factor entrepreneurship services.
The National Demonstration Zone for High Quality Cluster Development of Intellectual Property Service Industry and the Jiangnan University Food Pilot Innovation Base were unveiled on the sidelines of conference.
