42 drugs from east China’s Jiangsu province have been included in the new national medical insurance catalog. JSBC has the story.
The National Basic Medical Insurance, Work Injury Insurance, and Maternity Insurance Drug Catalogue for the year 2023 was recently released and will be implemented on January 1, 2024.
23 domestically produced innovative drugs have been included in the new catalog and have independent intellectual property rights, including 11 from Jiangsu.
In recent years, Jiangsu has taken various measures to optimize services, strengthen policy support, and promote the transformation of innovative drug achievements. Since 2020, 108 "Made in Jiangsu" innovative drugs have been included in the national medical insurance catalog. In 2023, 42 new drug varieties have been included in the national medical insurance catalog, accounting for one-third of all newly-added 126 drugs and ranking first in the country.
