East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development. JSBC has the story.
At the Xugong Fudi Power Battery Project located in Xuzhou Economic Development Zone, more than a thousand workers are busy working with hundreds of construction vehicles shuttling back and forth to ensure that multiple types of work advance synchronously and scientifically efficient construction.
This project, which is the first collaboration between BYD and Xuzhou, is currently advancing the decoration and mechanical and electrical installation of the first phase of the project factory. It is expected that the first batch of production equipment will start installation and commissioning in late December. The project is expected to achieve an annual production of 15GWh of power batteries.
“We will carry out equipment installation and debugging in the fourth quarter, mobilize all available resources, and fully push towards the end of the fourth quarter. We plan to start production in April 2024 with various tasks being prepared in an orderly manner,” said Pan Lianjing, Executive Vice General Manager of Xuzhou XCMG Fudi Battery Technology Co., Ltd.
The project will engage in the production and sales of supporting blade batteries and related core products for new energy commercial vehicles and construction machinery, laying a foundation for the high-quality development of the new energy industry in the Huaihai Economic Zone.
Workers are advancing the construction of the Beidou intelligent cockpit project in Suqian High tech Zone. The first phase of construction has been completed, and the second phase is currently underway.
“We expect to start the construction of the upper main structure next year and the main structure will be capped by the end of September. The construction of ancillary structures will be completed in September 2025,” said Wang Zhifei, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Communications Construction Beidou Intelligent Cockpit Project.
The Beidou Intelligent Cockpit Project focuses on developing high-value and high-tech electronic information industries such as Beidou terminals and location services, integrated circuits, 5G IoT, and big data storage and computing. The project is expected to achieve an annual invoiced sales of 5 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 250 million yuan, which will contribute to the expansion of the electronic information industry chain layout in Suqian and the creation of a new business card for the industrial Internet of Things city.
