East China’s Jiangsu province has been constantly activating the new momentum of intelligent manufacturing since the beginning of this year in a bid to expand overseas markets, and fuel the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

A large ocean vessel carrying 8 sets of 63000 cubic meters of wind power generation equipment sets sail recently from Yangzhou Port to head for Kuha Port in South Africa.

This is the first time since Yangzhou Port launched its wind power equipment business in 2019 that a complete set of wind turbine blade units have been shipped, including wind turbine blades, nacelles, motors, towers, hubs, and some other complete equipment.

In the future, Yangzhou Port will focus on the construction of a comprehensive export base for wind power equipment by exporting more wind power products to support the high-quality development of Yangzhou Port's industry.

“We have received orders for next year and our production target is to reach 170000 tons. We can produce wind turbine towers with a diameter of 6 to 8 meters,” said Zhang Jiangwen, General Manager of Yangzhou Taisheng Wind Energy Equipment Co., Ltd.

“We will accelerate the construction of port infrastructure, turn Yangzhou Port into a professional port for wind power loading and unloading on the Yangtze River by providing one-stop full logistics services for the development of the wind power industry so as to serve as a ‘golden partner’ for local economic development,” said Gong Bin, Head of Marketing Department of Yangzhou Port Group.

A complete lithium battery cathode material production line was shipped to Indonesia in Changzhou Port, which is the first time that China's domestic lithium battery cathode material production line has been exported to "the Belt and Road" country.

At the New Yangtze River Terminal of Changzhou Port, the integrated production line of negative electrode materials has been split into several "large packages" before being shipped and exported under the supervision of Changzhou Customs so that it will be delivered to customers for installation and commissioning by the end of this month.

In September, Jiangsu Daojin Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. signed an integrated production line connection project for negative electrode materials with an overseas customer. The product was exported this month after nearly three months of production and testing.

In terms of design, the enterprise adopted a self-developed closed-loop intelligent conveying system to improve the utilization rate of powder while creating a clean production environment.

“We have achieved a high degree of automation on this production line by dividing it into approximately eight areas for graphite crushing, granulation, and mixing of finished products within a 200-meter x 180-meter workshop,” said Wang Jian, Chief Process Engineer of Jiangsu Daojin Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd.

From January to November, Changzhou Customs conducted supervision on 76 batches of lithium battery products, weighing 13500 tons and valued at approximately 200 million US dollars, for direct loading upon arrival at port.
