Nanjing Customs issued 30 billion yuan of export goods under the RCEP certificate of origin from January to November, latest statistics show. JSBC has the story.
Gerflor Floorings (China) Co., Ltd., a Chinese subsidiary of Gerflor Group from France, provides flooring products for indoor sports venues in various large-scale international events such as the Olympics. Its products are sold to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide.
The Changshu branch of Nanjing Customs has issued an RCEP certificate of origin for Gerflor China’s shipment of approximately 350 thousand yuan of PVC flooring to Indonesia.
By applying for the RCEP certificate of origin, the company can ensure that its goods are subject to zero tariffs in the country of destination to help the company expand into the Southeast Asian market and improve international competitiveness.
“From January to November, we applied for a total of 16 RCEP certificates of origin with a value of approximately 3.5 million yuan,” said Sebastien GAUCHET, CEO of Gerflor China Asia.
With the full implementation of RCEP, Nanjing Customs has continuously optimized the business environment and facilitated local enterprises. At the same time, policy lectures have been held in Nanjing, Suzhou, Yancheng, and Nantong to guide enterprises to make good use of tax policies.
From January to November, Nanjing Customs issued 100400 RCEP certificates of origin worth 30.977 billion yuan, an increase of 25.22% and 2.04% year-on-year, ranking first in the country.
