East China’s Jiangsu province has insisted on making intelligent manufacturing the prime direction of building a manufacturing powerhouse by regarding the digital economy as a key increment for transformation and development so that the province has ranked first in the country for eight consecutive years in its integrated development of informatization and industrialization and three consecutive years in the high-quality development index of the manufacturing industry.
Jiangsu Shuangrui Wind Power Blade Co., Ltd. has established an offshore super large blade production base in Dafeng Economic Development Zone to independently develop and produce 126 meters of wind power blades, which are currently the world's longest.
The longer the blade, the higher the quality and safety requirements. In Shuangrui, 5G signals are everywhere in the factory area by enabling enterprises to ensure that information and equipment in all aspects of product design, manufacturing, sales services, and management are fully connected, achieving collaborative research and development, simulation experiments, intelligent manufacturing, and some other functions.
The construction of the 5G factory has supported the company's breakthrough in load control design technology and lightning protection capability verification technology for ultra long offshore wind turbine blades, improving the quality of offshore blade profiles by more than 50%.
“We have utilized the integration of next-generation information and communication technologies represented by 5G technology to digitally empower the entire value chain, leading industry upgrading through innovation, resulting in an overall production efficiency improvement of over 27%,” said Li Jianqiang, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Shuangrui Wind Power Blade Co., Ltd.
A total of 97 factories in Jiangsu have joined the first batch of 5G intelligent factories in the country, accounting for nearly one-third of the total and ranking first in the country.
On the basis of intelligent workshops and factories, 5G factories have further achieved "networking" and created an intelligent manufacturing system with "equipment interconnection, data exchange, and information sharing".
The industrial and information technology departments at all levels in Jiangsu have arranged experts to provide free diagnosis for the intelligent renovation and digital transformation of 4.3 small and medium-sized enterprises and cultivate 819 high-quality digital solution service providers.
