Great progress has been made in the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Demonstration Zone since it got the go-ahead four years ago by recording 136 institutional innovation achievements. Let’s take a close look.
After four years of efforts, the construction of the Yangtze River Delta integrated demonstration zone has taken shape with the first cross administrative territorial spatial planning in China approved by the State Council, and the landmark construction of the water town living room getting under way and the cross provincial high-tech industrial development zone officially unveiled. 38 out of 136 institutional innovation achievements are being replicated and promoted nationwide.
The developer alliance of the demonstration zone has gathered 64 high-energy level entities, continuously empowering the construction of the demonstration zone.
The demonstration zone has signed 8 key projects on innovative policy sources, green finance inclusive finance, digital and intelligent industries, and green and low-carbon industries, which will promote the construction of major projects including the State Key Laboratory of Pollution Control and Resource Research of Tongji University and Nanjing University, and the Soochow University Future Industrial Science Park in a bid to improve the innovation policy source function of the demonstration zone.
The demonstration zone will invest 16.7 billion yuan to build projects such as the Huaxin CCCC Digital Smart Port Industrial Park and the China Oriental Silk Market Organic Renewal Project.
“Our State Key Laboratory is pollution control and resource-based research, which is fully consistent with the theme of the development of the Yangtze River Delta and our demonstration area so there will be more efforts to promote the Yangtze River Delta in the future so as to promote the development of the entire Yangtze River Delta through the window of the demonstration zone,” said Peng Zhenwei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University, Professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
