East China's Jiangsu province recorded over 11 million kilowatts of offshore wind power installed capacity as of the end of November, accounting for over 37% of the country's total and ranking first in the country.

Being one of the regions with the best conditions for offshore wind power development and construction in China, Jiangsu has currently built the largest offshore wind power base in the country.

With the acceleration of coastal wind farm construction, Jiangsu has rapidly developed new energy manufacturing industries such as wind power.

Jiangsu Power Grid is accelerating the upgrading of its power grid structure by building a smart grid through measures such as new energy storage and peak regulation, planning and constructing embedded DC transmission projects in areas with abundant new energy in order to meet the energy needs of regional industries.

By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Jiangsu will record a wind power installed capacity of 28 million kilowatts, including 15 million kilowatts of offshore wind power. When integrated into the grid, the wind power can increase the annual power generation to 42 billion kilowatt hours, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 280 million tons, which will provide strong support for green and sustainable development.
