The 2023 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference opened in Nanjing on Wednesday. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, attended the theme conference and delivered a speech. Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu Province, presided over the theme conference. Xin Guobin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Jinjin, Member of the Party Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, delivered speeches. Zhou Ji, honorary chairman of the International Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made a keynote speech.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and Government, Xin Changxing welcomed the arrival of all guests and expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Association for Science and Technology, and friends from all walks of life for their concern and support for the development of Jiangsu.
He said that keywords such as real economy, manufacturing, and intelligent manufacturing stand for the growth engines for high-quality development in Jiangsu. The transition from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing is a profound transformation and a reshaping leap, which will inevitably nurture the formation of new quality productive forces, thereby posing promising prospects and infinite opportunities.
On the new journey, Jiangsu will focus on 16 advanced manufacturing clusters and 50 industrial chains, with intelligent transformation, digital transformation, and cyber connectivity as the driving force, leading enterprises as the driving force and industrial chain integration as the path, accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone, and promoting new industrialization and the construction of a strong manufacturing powerhouse.
Xin Guobin pointed out that in recent years, China has actively adapted to and led the trend of industrial transformation, promoting a series of significant practical achievements in intelligent manufacturing, adding that currently, a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is restructuring the global innovation landscape and reshaping the global economic structure, making intelligent manufacturing increasingly a key force in promoting the optimization and upgrading of the industrial system.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will closely follow the characteristics of intelligence, adhere to the application orientation, strengthen supply support, deepen international cooperation, promote the deep integration of digital technology and manufacturing, promote new industrialization enabled by artificial intelligence, accelerate the formation of new quality productivity, build a more solid material and technological foundation for the Chinese path to modernization, inject Chinese momentum and contribute Chinese strength to the world economic recovery and global sustainable development.
Wang Jinjin pointed out that the China Association for Science and Technology will continue to promote the integration and development of intelligent manufacturing across disciplines and fields, promote close cooperation among various entities in the innovation chain and industrial chain, support scientists and entrepreneurs to target academic frontiers and focus on industrial needs to carry out joint technological breakthroughs, give full play to the advantages of associations, scientific research units, universities, and enterprises to cultivate a high-quality talent team and make greater contributions to promoting innovation in intelligent manufacturing technology and application innovation.
During his speech, Han Liming, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, said that Nanjing will vigorously promote intelligent transformation, digital transformation, and connected technology, actively seize the development opportunities of industrial software, artificial intelligence, and intelligent manufacturing equipment, and fully cultivate chain master enterprises, platform enterprises, and little giant enterprises so as to lead and support the city's high-quality development to a new level.
During his speech, Katsuya Kawabata, Vice Chairman of the International Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance and General Representative of Mitsubishi Electric in China, said that the conference has built a good platform for international exchanges in the field of intelligent manufacturing, and has contributed new wisdom to promoting the development of global intelligent manufacturing, adding that the alliance will continue to deepen cooperation with the Chinese industry and technology community, and contribute to the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry.
The International Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance unveiled the top ten technological advancements in intelligent manufacturing for the world and China in 2023. Vice Governor Hu Guangjie, on behalf of the provincial government, signed strategic cooperation agreements with China Aviation Industry Group and China Aviation Engine Group.
Among the keynote speakers were Zhou Ji, Bernard Charles, chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Dassault Systems, Cao Jianguo, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xiao Song, Chairman of China Aero Engine Group, Siemens Global Executive Vice President, and Xu Wenwei, Director of the Scientists Advisory Committee of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
Leaders including Xin Changxing, Xu Kunlin, Xin Guobin, and Wang Jinjin visited the Intelligent Manufacturing Expo before the opening of the conference.
