Wu Kai, a rural teacher rooted in the mountains, has formed caretaking families for left behind children for many years so as to help more children leave the mountains and enter universities.
“There are quite a few left-behind children in the mountains, so we mobilized the teacher to become the caretaker parents of these mountain children. Over the past seven years, we have formed over 60 caretaking families for over 300 left-behind children in our school. Now we have mobilized the ‘mountain brothers and sisters’ who have come out of the mountains to help these younger brothers and sisters so as to ensure that the caretaking love will relay and pass on in the mountains,” said Wu Kai, Secretary and Principal of the Party Branch of Qiuji Middle School in Xuyi County, Huai’an.
