We can now expect to have a possibly a better outlook. Consumers in Europe love Chinese products and we just want the Chinese consumers to like our products like us and the market is open for that," said Joerg Wuttke, President of the European Chamber.
"It's a good tradition in Nanjing. And as you can see from the number of participants, it's well anticipated and well accepted by a lot of members that come here to have an open dialogue with the government officials who also want to have this exchange. So more attractive Nanjing and Jiangsu is, the better it's also for us, the companies who invest in Nanjing, the companies can benefit also from that and find a good platform for growth and business development," said Dr Andreas Risch, Chair of the European Chamber Nanjing Chapter.
The dialogue focused on Nanjing's internationalization promotion, green development, talent policy, business environment and other topics. At the panel discussion, the enterprise representatives were divided into two groups for further communication with relevant government representatives, focusing on specific topics, like foreign investment policies, innovation encouragement measures, talent attraction policies, tax policy adjustment and foreigner visa and other specific issues concerned by the enterprises.
"At the dialogue, the signal released gave us great confidence. Director Zhang shared the advantages of Nanjing in economic development and the policies the government released to support business development. All these will give our enterprise great support in terms of investment and long-term business development," said Frank Tang, General Manager of SUSPA (Nanjing) Co., Ltd.
"From a business perspective, and particularly from the HR perspective, the the demand for the right talent at the right place for our business is the most important. And with the new policies that we have recently heard about are coming into effect now, we will and we can already see some very positive impact to the business. There is cross border exchange. Talent from oversea can come in, but we also experience there's a lot of Chinese companies actually moving outside. So this means the Chinese business globalize," said Frank Redecker, Founding Partner & CEO of REACH Talent Consulting.
