East China’s Jiangsu province has stepped up the construction of major investment projects and ensured their smooth progress through every possible effort so as to fulfill goals for social and economic development. JSBC has the story.
Xuzhou is making every effort to promote the construction of the Yunlong Lake Laboratory for Deep Earth Science and Engineering. As one of the six major innovation carriers in the list of major projects in Jiangsu in 2022, the laboratory is expected to report an investment scale of 6 billion yuan during the 14th Five Year Plan period.
The first phase of the laboratory plans four platforms that include digital deep ground, deep ground environment, deep ground development, and deep ground equipment. An international first-class laboratory is expected to be built here with multiple forms, full space, and multiple functions.
"The caverns on both sides of the roadway are the locations for our scientific research platform construction. Take our deep space compressed air energy storage and hydrogen storage in-situ experimental platform as an example. This experimental platform is mainly used for conducting in-situ platform experiments on underground air energy storage or hydrogen storage," said Zhao Chao, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Deputy Director of the Yunlong Lake Laboratory.
Liyang, a county level city in the southeast of Jiangsu, has started the construction of the Chongqing University Liyang Scientific Research and Training Base.
"The entire southern area covers an area of 36000 square meters. The entire main body of the first bid section has been completely capped and has entered the decoration stage," said Chen Ningsong, Construction Director of Chongqing University Liyang Scientific Research and Training Base Project.
With a total planned investment of 2.55 billion yuan and a planned land area of 254 mu, the project will build a digital urban and rural planning and design center, and a digital twin urban transportation research center, dedicated to creating a scientific research and training base that integrates talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and industrial agglomeration functions.
Liyang is also home to the Yangtze River Delta Physical Research Center and Tianmu Lake Energy Storage Research Institute. Relying on these technological innovation advantages, Liyang will focus on building a strategic emerging industry spearheaded by advanced manufacturing, and promote the deep integration of the innovation chain industry chain, capital chain, and talent chain.
