President Xi Jinping underlined high-quality growth as the primary task for China in building itself into a modern socialist nation in all respects. He made the remarks when attending on Sunday a deliberation with his fellow deputies from the delegation of Jiangsu province, at the first session of the 14th National People's Congress. The city of Suzhou has played the vanguard role in the high-quality development in Jiangsu by bearing the General Secretary’s ardent expectation for "outlining the goal of modernization".
The metauniverse is to let people experience real life in the virtual world in a digital form through artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain and some other technologies, which is the highest form of the digital economy.
Kunshan, which has ranked first among the top 100 counties in the country for 18 consecutive years, took the lead in launching the construction of the first demonstration zone of the metauniverse in the province, and once again stood on the new air of the industry. In the next two or three years, it will attract a number of enterprises in the meta-space chain, such as wearable devices and virtual reality interactive scenes, to create a 100-billion-yuan growth pole for Kunshan.

In the past five years, Suzhou has built major scientific and technological innovation platforms such as the Gusu Laboratory of Materials Science, the National Biopharmaceutical Technology Innovation Center, and the National Third Generation Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center, and has introduced more than 130 research institutes. All of the top universities, known as China's "Ivy League", have opened branches in Suzhou.
In the meantime, Suzhou has focused on the construction of 13 innovation consortiums in key industries and tackled key problems and key core technologies in a group, which has brought confidence to the construction of industrial innovation clusters.

Wuzhong District of Suzhou has born the country’s first 100-billion-yuan industrial innovation cluster robot and intelligent manufacturing industry. Taicang has taken the lead in the construction of aerospace industry innovation cluster. The innovative pharmaceutical industry innovation cluster in the China-Singapore Industrial Park continues to lead the country.
Today, Suzhou has reported one trillion yuan of output value of electronic information, equipment manufacturing and advanced materials. Its nanometer new materials, bio-pharmaceuticals, high-end medical devices and high-end textiles have been selected into the national advanced manufacturing industry cluster. The number of global "beacon factories" and national little giant enterprises ranks first in the province.
In the past five years, Suzhou has continuously accelerated the pace of international cooperation. The Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Demonstration Zone has launched 112 projects of institutional innovation achievements, 38 of which have been replicated and promoted nationwide.
Suzhou Free Trade Zone has formed more than 130 national and provincial initiatives and leading institutional innovation achievements. Suzhou has invested 695 projects in countries and regions along the "the Belt and Road", accounting for more than 1/4 of the provincial total.
Suzhou Industrial Park has also made every effort to attract foreign headquarters to settle down. A number of headquarters and R&D foreign projects such as Airbus, Siemens and Honeywell have settled down, making Suzhou the only foreign headquarters economic cluster in the province.
